Spot Memorial PDF Print E-mail

With heavy hearts, we share the sad news that our beloved Spot was laid to rest Monday, April 26th 2010. Late last week, “Spotty” was unable to stand up by himself. The barn management and veterinary team gallantly worked to get him up on his feet so he could eat and move around, but the effort was extremely traumatic and strenuous for him. As most of you know, Spot was almost completely blind. In addition to his inability to stand, he became disoriented and it was soon clear that he was under great physical and mental distress.

We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to him, but know that he is in a happy place . . . where he can once again see his friends and run happily through the meadows.  Thank you all for supporting NWS and helping us give Spot the love and special treatment that he so deserved in the last years of his life.
